About the project
Eagle Burgmann is a joint venture between Eagle Industry (Japan) and Burgmann Industries (Germany), both renowned for their expertise in sealing technology. With over 130 years of experience and operations in more than 90 countries, Eagle Burgmann is a global leader in industrial sealing solutions for sectors such as oil & gas, chemical processing, power generation, and pharmaceuticals. As part of its strategy to unify business processes across the region, Eagle Burgmann Asia Pacific launched a SAP ERP ECC rollout initiative for its subsidiary in Vietnam.

The Challenge
The Vietnam rollout project posed several critical challenges.
Firstly, the implementation needed to be completed within a strict six-month window, requiring highly efficient coordination and execution.
Secondly, the solution had to comply with Eagle Burgmann’s standardized global SAP template while being tailored to meet local Vietnamese regulations and operational needs.
Third, the project required multi-party collaboration between the Vietnam office, regional APAC teams, and local SAP consultants across key modules such as Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and ABAP.
Lastly, successful system adoption by local end-users was essential for long-term sustainability.
The Solutions
CMC Consulting was chosen as the local SAP partner for this rollout project. Beginning in January 2023, a dedicated team of experienced SAP consultants from CMC worked closely with Eagle Burgmann Vietnam and the APAC regional team. The project included system configuration, localization, and implementation support across core modules. CMC also provided comprehensive end-user training, documentation, and testing services to ensure smooth adoption. All work was aligned with global standards while accommodating local business practices.
