About the project

Hyundai Kefico is a leading automotive parts manufacturer, headquartered in Korea, with operations spanning several countries including Vietnam. As part of its digital transformation strategy, Hyundai Kefico initiated a rollout of the SAP S/4HANA system from its Korean headquarters to its Vietnam subsidiary. The objective was to standardize financial processes, improve reporting capabilities, and integrate SAP with factory and production systems for enhanced operational efficiency.

The Challenge

Hyundai Kefico needed to complete the SAP S/4HANA rollout within a tight six-month timeframe while ensuring full localization compliance with Vietnamese accounting standards.
Developing accurate and optimized indirect cash flow reports was critical to support financial transparency and management decisions.
The project required deep expertise across multiple SAP modules - Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), and ABAP development - for system configuration, customization, and integration. Additionally, comprehensive end-user training and documentation were essential to ensure smooth system adoption.

The Solution

To address these challenges, CMC Consulting deployed a skilled team of six SAP consultants specializing in the key modules. Our approach included detailed localization of SAP configurations and preparation of configuration documents.
We developed test cases and scripts primarily for the core Finance module to ensure system accuracy and compliance. The team created 25 mandatory VAS (Vietnam Accounting Standards) reports and specifically developed optimized indirect cash flow reports to meet Hyundai Kefico’s reporting needs.
We also facilitated integration between SAP S/4HANA and the factory production systems to enable seamless data flow. End-user training sessions were conducted to empower users with operational knowledge and ensure effective use of the new system.

Benefits

As a result, the SAP S/4HANA rollout was successfully completed within the six-month target.

Hyundai Kefico Vietnam now benefits from streamlined and localized financial processes, enhanced reporting capabilities including optimized indirect cash flow statements, and improved integration between SAP and production systems.

This project significantly increased operational transparency, financial control, and overall efficiency, positioning Hyundai Kefico for continued growth in the region.
