Data Analysis

The Challenge

Since 2021, CMC Consulting has been proudly supporting Olam Agri in the development of Direct Cost Reports - a critical initiative to consolidate financial and operational data across SAP, Snowflake, and Power BI platforms.
The project demanded not only strong SAP FICO and ABAP expertise but also the ability to integrate seamlessly with cloud data warehousing (Snowflake) and front-end visualization tools (Power BI), all while complying with Olam’s internal coding and reporting standards.

The Solution

To meet this challenge, CMC Consulting deployed a team of four experienced SAP consultants. Our team worked closely with Olam’s business stakeholders to analyze and understand the structure of 12 direct cost reports, extract and define business logic, and integrate relevant data sources.
This included identifying standard and Z tables in SAP, transferring data via SNP Glue into Snowflake, and developing dynamic reports in Power BI with tailored aggregations, filters, and drill-downs as required by the business. Where necessary, new SAP T-codes were developed to support data extraction and usability. The entire development lifecycle - from requirements gathering to SIT, UAT, and hypercare - was handled with close coordination between teams to ensure a smooth go-live process.
