CMC supports the whole country to fight against Covid-19

In June, when the fourth wave of Covid-19 broke out with more complicated and unpredictable developments, CMC Technology Corporation launched the campaign: "CMC supports the whole country against Covid-19 - Unite to Fight". This included many meaningful activities such as Launching staff to support a day's salary; Organizing a blood donation day; Donating medical equipment and security surveillance camera systems at some remote locations.

More than 3,000 employees support wages for Covid-19 prevention and control activities

After the Government of Vietnam called for the whole country to join hands in the prevention and control of Covid-19 and mobilized businesses, individuals, and benefactors to support, CMC Corporation launched the employees to participate in the program "Contributing a salary day into Vietnam Covid-19 prevention fund”.

Accordingly, each employee will contribute one day's salary to achieve the goal of donating 3 billion VND to support the above activities. With the number of Covid-19 infections increasing day by day; unpredictable virus strains with extremely dangerous infection levels, CMC's contribution contributes to achieving the goal: Vietnam will win the pandemic, people's safety is guaranteed, life will soon return to normal status. Therefore, promoting socio-economic development in the new normal.

Donating Covid-19 testing equipment to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City

On June 10, CMC Group cooperated with Sống Foundation to present medical equipment - automatic Nucleic Acid extraction worth nearly 1 billion VND to the University Hospital of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City. The gifting activity took place at the program "CMC Supporting the whole country against Covid-19 - Unite to Fight" which was held in response to the Government's call to join hands in epidemic prevention.

The automated Nucleic Acid Extractor replaces the previous manual method, saving testing time and reducing the risk of technician infection. Thanks to this device, the local health quickly traced cases related to patients suspected of having Covid-19 to respond to the stressful epidemic situation.

At the event, Mr. Duong Anh Duc - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People Committee shared: “In the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, the People Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the hospital appreciate the contribution of CMC Corporation to help test quickly, giving accurate results, reducing pressure on medical staff in the anti-Covid-19 campaign."

According to Mr. Dang The Tai, General Director of CMC TSSG, CMC donated equipment to the People Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City to share the burden with the frontline medical team fighting the epidemic. CMC hopes this device contributes to ensuring the safety of medical staff, ensuring safety, and improving the health of people in Ho Chi Minh City. Thereby, Ho Chi Minh City will contribute to the whole country to overcome the pandemic and recover the economy.

CMC people donate blood to join hands to fight the epidemic

The program "Safe blood donation - CMC's people support the whole country to fight the epidemic" took place on June 10 and 11, launched by Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chairman of CMC Technology Group. The Group cooperated with the National Hospital of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to implement the program in Hanoi so that employees could join hands with doctors and nurses to help patients during the epidemic. At the end of the program, CMC's people donated more than 280 blood units to the Central Hospital of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.

The noble gesture of the CMC people made at a time when the whole society is struggling against the epidemic, the blood reserve for treatment and surgery across the country has reached the "red alert", many patients standing still before the fragile boundary of life because of anemia.

During the blood donation process, the requirements and regulations on disease prevention and control are strictly implemented, ensuring the safety of participants at the highest level. In addition to checking body temperature, washing hands with antiseptic water, wearing a medical mask, keeping a minimum distance of 2-3m, blood donation space,  disinfected equipment, medical staff have vaccinated and use specialized protective gear. The Chairman of CMC also decided to organize "CMC Blood Donation Day" every year.

Sponsoring high-technology monitoring equipment for the prevention of Covid-19

It is expected that at the end of June, CMC will sponsor a security camera system for isolation points in Ha Dong and Thanh Oai districts, Hanoi. Currently, the professional team is in the design survey phase to proceed with the installation. The system helps to monitor the security of entering and leaving the isolation point, ensuring safety for epidemic prevention and control. In addition, CMC installed a smart identification solution of the Hanoi People Committee to help monitor security during the epidemic season; ensure long-term security.

“Unite to Fight” is the common spirit of CMC Group in the campaign “CMC Support the whole country against COVID-19 - Unite to Fight”. The campaign with a total value of 6 billion VND is a part of the group's activities series for the community (CSR) Bach Mai (Hanoi) and Can Gio field hospital (HCMC)

Sharing about the campaign's goal, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chairman of CMC Technology Corporation said: "On the 28-year journey, in addition to the goal of business development, CMC is committed to sharing difficulties with the community when there are epidemics and natural disasters as well as accompanying the development of the country.
