On the afternoon of October 27, CMC Telecom Infrastructure JSC and CMC Consulting Joint Stock Company (Successor company of Ciber-CMC Joint Venture Joint Stock Company) kicked off the project "Implementing SAP Finance centralized financial management platform for CMC Telecom". Setting goals to synchronize financial management, budget management, investment procurement, asset management, etc on a common platform, towards the corporate governance model following the digital transformation strategy of the CMC Corp. Through the project, CMC Telecom wishes to improve the financial and accounting management capacity between CMC Telecom and the corporation's member units, as well as consolidate finance with CMC Corp.
After more than 10 years of establishment, CMC Telecom has grown tremendously, becoming one of the leading telecommunications infrastructure companies in Vietnam, honored by ICTNews and Vietnam Internet Association as one of the top 5 telecommunications enterprises in Vietnam and the biggest influence on Vietnam's Internet in a decade (2007-2017). The rapid development makes CMC Telecom face difficulties and inadequacies in financial management such as many manual operations, time-consuming resources, data and management reports being aggregated from many sources and there is not yet a centralized reporting system, not real-time, loss of data synchronization between systems.
After more than 2 years of research and evaluation, CMC Telecom decided to choose the SAP Finance solution deployed by CMC Consulting to solve the above difficulties. At the project kick-off ceremony, there were the presence of Ms. Ngo Thi Bich Thuy (CMC Telecom's Financial Director) as a member of the Project Steering Committee Ms. Vu Thi Khuyen (Chief Accountant) and Mr. Hoang Chi Thang (Deputy Director of the Cloud Computing Technology RnD Center) jointly assumes the role of project management. On the side of CMC Consulting, there was Ms. Nguyen Hang Thu (Vice President and Director of Advisory) as a member of the Project Steering Committee and Mr. Le Hong Quan (Production Director) in charge of project management. There were also all project team members of the two companies.
At the project kick-off ceremony, the two companies also exchanged very openly and in detail about the plan, project implementation methodology, and conditions to ensure the go-live project was on schedule. The ceremony ended up with the project kick-off ceremony to show the determination of the leaders and project team members of the two companies. It is believed, in the future the two units will have the opportunity to cooperate with long-term, effective, and direction towards sustainable development and mutual benefit.
